House Pictures

The house is pretty much settled now other than decorating. It took us so much longer to unpack than I had anticipated, but at least it is done now and we can get back to doing things other than moving. Here are some pictures of the house. We forgot to take them of the outside so that will have to be a new post. Thanks to everyone who helped us move, we really appreciate it!This top picture is of the back living room that leads out to the deck and back yard. We spend most of our time in this back room because it is very open and has great lighting. Also this way we can see the boys playing in the yard!

This is our front living room and new dining room table! This will be our more formal dining area. This is the hallway that leads to the 2 bedrooms, office and upstairs bathroom.

This is the master bedroom and below is the guest bedroom.

This is our upstairs (main) bathroom.

Our kitchen which we like sooo much better in this new paint color!

These last 2 pictures are of the finished basement and the second bathroom in the basement. My next post I will try and remember to put in some more pictures of the outside of the house and also of the office. We love it and are sooo excited to have more space, it is truly wonderful!!

Moving!!

I am finally getting around to posting after several loong weeks of moving and getting settled. I had a week of vacation during the last week in May so I used it to start moving things over to the house and also to paint!! My mom and Ron were nice enough to come up and spend their Memorial Day helping us paint! We decided to paint both the kitchen and the master bedroom and we are sooo glad that we did! They look so much better with the new colors!

Long time no update!

Sorry we have not been updating regularly this month. We have been very busy but have managed to do some fun things too! About a month ago my friend Kelly gave us tickets to the Red Wings vs LA Kings. We had GREAT seats and really enjoyed the game. It was my first Red Wings game!I also recently was in Redando Beach, California for chief resident training camp and had a great week there. After the camp was over my friend Jaime and I drove up to Santa Barbara and spent the rest of the weekend with my cousins SueAnn and Jerry. We had such a great time. California is definitely an awesome place! I was bad and didn't take many pictures while we were there. Anyways we will post more soon!

Daddy's Boy

Chase has truly become daddy's boy. They love to cuddle on the couch at night and it is so cute to see Chase all cuddled up in his arms! I love my boys!!

Pistons Game!

Last week Phil and I were lucky enough to have the opportunity to have some fun and go to the Pistons game with some of my friends from work. My friend Kelly's dad has an awesome suite at the Palace so we had great seats and got to watch the game in style-can't beat food, drinks and good times with our friends. Thanks so much for inviting us Kelly!!!

My Nashy Teeth!

Mama says I should write about my nashy teeth. When my brother Chase and I play I like to pretend that I'm really tough and I make nashy teeth at him! It makes me look like I'm really mad but I'm just playing!

Dinner with the Rutans!

Phil and I spent Valentines Day in Ann Arbor visiting with Jen and Chris Rutan and their absolutely adorable new baby Hudson! We were so excited to finally meet Hudson and spend some time with him. Chris's parents were nice enough to have us for dinner and made a fantastic dinner-steak, potatoes, salad, asparagus and mushrooms. We enjoyed every bite! The visit was too short though-Phil and I both wish we lived closer to the Rutans so we could hangout more often and of course we wish we could babysit for little Hudson too!

Opryland in Nashville!

Bethie and I went to Nashville earlier this month for a Critical Care conference. Beth was presenting some research for the conference so she got a free long weekend on her hospital's dime - it was a great chance for us to get away for a weekend together! It is hard to imagine how enormous this place is, but from what we read, it is the largest hotel and conference center (not including casinos) in the world. There were 3 different HUGE atriums inside the hotel that had gardens, waterfalls, a river and restaurants. Here are a bunch of pics we took - truly an amazing place-all the pics u see are INSIDE the hotel!!!

The local river monster "nessy" was getting into the football spirit as it was Super Bowl weekend while we were there:

They had an enormous fountain show that we got a chance to watch as well!
